# Terms of Service

Welcome to Degen — a chaotic meme-launchpad that lets anyone deploy tokens on X1 and Solana in seconds.

By using this platform, you agree to the following terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site. Launch at your own risk. Meme responsibly.

#### 1. No Guarantees, No Promises <a href="#id-1.-no-guarantees-no-promises" id="id-1.-no-guarantees-no-promises"></a>

Degen is an experimental, permissionless platform. We do not guarantee:

* That your token will succeed
* That it will hold value
* That liquidity will remain
* That people won’t dump it instantly

You’re launching memes into the void. Anything can happen — and probably will.

#### 2. You Are the Creator <a href="#id-2.-you-are-the-creator" id="id-2.-you-are-the-creator"></a>

If you launch a token, you own it. You are solely responsible for:

* Its name, branding, and behavior
* Whether or not it's a rug
* What you do with it after launch

Degen provides the tooling. What you do with that tooling is up to you.

#### 3. Royalties, Fees & Boosts <a href="#id-3.-royalties-fees-and-boosts" id="id-3.-royalties-fees-and-boosts"></a>

The platform charges fees for swaps, featured token placement, and other optional boosts. These include:

* Swap royalties (creator + protocol split)
* Visibility boosts (paid or LP locked)
* Farming unlocks (X1 only)

Fees are non-refundable. If your meme dies — that’s on the market, not us.

#### 4. Experimental by Design <a href="#id-4.-experimental-by-design" id="id-4.-experimental-by-design"></a>

Degen runs on bleeding-edge blockchains (X1 and Solana) and is built by degens for degens. This means:

* Features may break
* Contract behavior may change
* UIs may lag, bug out, or depeg your attention span

We’re shipping fast. Use the platform like a testnet — even when it’s not.

#### 5. Open & Uncensored <a href="#id-5.-open-and-uncensored" id="id-5.-open-and-uncensored"></a>

We do not:

* Vet tokens
* Censor memes
* Curate launches
* Moderate token names or images

If you see something wild — remember, it’s a permissionless network. DYOR.

#### 6. Risk Warning <a href="#id-6.-risk-warning" id="id-6.-risk-warning"></a>

Crypto is risky. Meme coins are ultra-risky. Tokens launched via Degen:

* Can go to zero
* May be illiquid
* Are subject to gas spikes, MEV, frontruns, bot dumps, and more

Do not trade with funds you can’t afford to lose. Especially not for memes.

#### 7. Open-Source Ethos <a href="#id-7.-open-source-ethos" id="id-7.-open-source-ethos"></a>

Parts of Degen are based on open-source contracts and interfaces. We do not claim exclusive rights to meme-launching tech. Fork, remix, contribute — or just vibe.

#### 8. Legal Stuff (a.k.a. the Cover-Your-Ass Clause) <a href="#id-8.-legal-stuff-a.k.a.-the-cover-your-ass-clause" id="id-8.-legal-stuff-a.k.a.-the-cover-your-ass-clause"></a>

Degen is not:

* A registered broker
* A financial advisor
* A custodial service
* A launchpad with vetting or permissioning

By using this site, you accept full responsibility for your actions and any tokens launched. We are not liable for:

* Market losses
* Contract exploits
* Meme-fueled chaos
* Anything else, really
